You can start practicing yoga at any stage of life or level of physical fitness. A steady and dedicated yoga practice, done at the appropriate level, improves your health, encourages you toward mental and emotional peace, and imparts invaluable physical and spiritual tools to cultivate an overall sense of joy and well-being. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj,” meaning to join or unite. If you are willing and open, yoga unites you with your self, your body, your mind, and your spirit.
Nadi shodhana is a simple, powerful practice of alternate-nostril breathing that balances the feminine cooling nadi, Ida, and the masculine heating nadi, Pingala. Experience pranayama with Janna Delgado to calm the mind, soothe anxiety and stress, and promote clear thinking.
Join Kripalu Yoga teacher Devarshi Steven Hartman as he leads you through an hour-long moderate/vigorous class. This class includes a variety of foundational postures (standing, seated, and on the floor), longer holding, and breathing exercises—including Kripalu Yoga’s signature alternate-nostril breath, Anulom Vilom—providing a good workout and deep restoration. The intention of Kripalu Yoga is to cultivate an internal meditative experience while stretching and recharging the body. Learn more about Kripalu Yoga at kripalu.org/aboutyoga.
